2006 SeasonAnother season of football is almost here. Here are some notes
that some of you may find interesting.
| Club trials 4th and 5th of MARCHOur mens and womens trials are this weekend at Ilam, 10am both days, mens saturday and womens sunday. If you are interested in playing, then please turn up.
| Early Subs Needed by March 13thMainland have changed the payment structure this season and the main points of it are that subs will increase a little per player but the main change is that we need to pay them much earlier. To meet this requirement I am going to insist on each player from each team paying a $40 deposit on their subs by the 13th March. Team reps will be responsible for collecting this and paying the lump sum either into the bank or getting it to Kirsten or I. More details on this and a subs break down will happen at the AGM.

| Hi Guys, It's that time of year again. We're going to have the AGM on Monday 6th March 7:30 upstairs in the UCSA. Every team MUST have their rep present otherwise they won't get entered in competitions this season. Mainland have changed the payment structure this season and the main points of it are that subs will increase a little per player but the main change is that we need to pay them much earlier. To meet this requirement I am going to insist on each player from each team paying a $40 deposit on their subs by the 13th March. Team reps will be responsible for collecting this and paying the lump sum either into the bank or getting it to Kirsten or I. More details on this and a subs break down will happen at the AGM. Our mens and womens trials are this weekend at Ilam, 10am both days, mens saturday and womens sunday. If your team is short a few players you might like to pop down and have a scout around, I think a first come first served policy is fairest here. The final makeup of the teams that the club enters this year will be determined on Monday 13th March after the $40 deposits have been collected. Apologies for missing this meeting are going to be a waste of time because if you're not there you won't have a team. | Yes the new season has started. We are having fun with Mainland
soccer in terms of getting the draws. At this stage we only have weekly draws,
which don't come out until Wednesday / Thursday.
Check which is the official site for soccer here in christchurch. Any changes to the draw and they should know. [ED: Maybe!] |
